Global Economic Outlook 2021

PwC released its "Global economy watch: Predictions for 2021." According to the report: The global economy in aggregate should revert to its pre-crisis level of output by the end of 2021 and expand by around 5% in market exchange rates.  Recovery will be uneven across sectors, countries and income levels and could be more bumpy than initially anticipated as COVID-19 mutates and evolves. Global green bond issuance is expected to top US$500 billion for the first time with investor appetite expected to continue to increase in Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) funds.   Get report

Gasoline, Diesel Fuel Update

The U.S. Energy Information Administration released on Jan. 4 gasoline and diesel fuel data, including downloadable images, charts and information. The charts show the price of a gallon of gas and a gallon of diesel by region. See percentages of taxes, distribution and marketing, refining and crude oil. Click for information  

COVID-19'S IMPACT ON AUTONOMOUS VEHICLES 

A Dec. 1, 2020, article by McKinsey & Co. tells the other side of the robo-taxi story: private autonomous vehicles. "Many compa­nies recognize AD’s (autonomous driving's) enormous potential and are forging ahead," the article states. "But in addition to technological hurdles, they face many uncertain­ties, including those related to the COVID-19 pandemic, the exact regulatory requirements that will be established, and customer willingness to pay.
