Joey Cheek, president of JMP Solutions, Inc., Tampa, Fla., has been elected by the members of the Petroleum Equipment Institute (PEI) to serve as president of the organization. He has most recently served as PEI’s vice president. Cheek was elected during the Institute's 61st annual convention and trade show in Chicago, Ill., and will take office January 1, 2012.
Terry Cooper, president of Acterra Group, Inc., Marion, Iowa, has been elected by the members of the Petroleum Equipment Institute (PEI) to serve as vice president of the organization, and Phil Farrell, president of Double Check Company, Inc., Kansas City, Mo., has been appointed PEI’s treasurer by the association’s Board of Directors.
PEI has launched a new program aimed at helping companies provide a safe working environment for all employees. The Safety Program Audit, designed for distributor members of the association, is completely confidential and available to companies doing business in the United States.
The Petroleum Equipment Institute has announced that the International Code Council (ICC) will offer ICC certification testing at the 2011 PEI Convention at the NACS Show. The testing will take place on October 2 and 3, 2011 at the McCormick Place Convention Center.
