Networking & Engagement
I recently returned from the PEI Young Executives Conference in California. More than 80 young leaders from our industry were in attendance. It was great to see them all re-connect with colleagues and make new contacts. Our PEI Women Conference is coming up in May in South Carolina and will offer similar opportunities for women in our industry to expand their professional networks. PEI’s events are designed with education and networking in mind and focus on the many different aspects of our industry. If you haven’t attended one recently, I encourage you to register today! Also, watch for new events we will announce later this year, including an HR/Finance Conference in November and an Executive Summit in January 2023.

PEI Board of Directors Meeting
The PEI Board of Directors is meeting later this week. During the meeting, this group of 19 directors and officers will be tasked with validating PEI’s mission and ensuring PEI has adequate resources to fulfill its mission by approving the association budget for fiscal 2022-23. If you are interested in serving as a board member, we will be soliciting nominations for seats in even districts as well as in the Affiliate division in June. Find out more about the board election process here.

The Future of Training
The Q2 2022 PEI Journal includes an article highlighting PEI’s efforts in launching a learning management system (LMS) later this year. The goal is to transfer existing printed content—starting with our service technician training manuals—to a modern, digitized platform allowing PEI members access to quality, consistent and virtual credentialing content. You can read the article and the entire Q2 PEI Journal here.
