SPENDING BILL SUPPORTS BIODIESEL, IGNORES ELECTRIC
VEHICLES Despite intense lobbying by Tesla and General Motors, the final bill did not extend or expand the tax credits for electric vehicle (EV) purchases. Both companies’ EV credits will expire within the next few months. President Trump is expected to sign the bill by midnight, Dec. 20, the deadline to avoid a partial government shutdown.
