Dear PEI Member: Kevin McKinney, president of McKinney Petroleum Equipment, Mobile, Alabama, became the 65th president of the Petroleum Equipment Institute on January 1. He succeeds Phil Farrell, president of Double Check Company, Inc., headquartered in Kansas City, Missouri, in that post. Steve Trabilsy, president of Accurate Tank Technologies, North Aurora, Illinois, is PEI’s vice president for 2015. One of McKinney’s first duties was to appoint committees for 2015. In all, 181 people were named to serve on 24 PEI committees, with 29 individuals appointed to a committee for the first time. PEI is fortunate to have members who are willing to give their time to improve the association and the industry it serves. I can’t say this association is unique in that regard—there are other associations with active volunteer members—but PEI is fortunate to have so many members who are obviously talented and dedicated to the task at hand when they meet as a committee or board. On behalf of your Tulsa-based staff, thank you. You can find the complete list of all committees and committee members here. PEI’S DEF (DIESEL EXHAUST FLUID) RECOMMENDED
PRACTICE TO BE REVISED The 2010 version of these recommended practices applies to the storage, handling, and dispensing of DEF at motor fuel dispensing facilities, repair/maintenance garages and service centers. The document is limited to storage containers that use a pump and/or meter to dispense DEF. If you have suggestions or recommendations for improving PEI/RP1100-10, submit them online at www.pei.org/rp1100. Instructions for completing the form are provided on the website. |
