BRIEFLY NOTED
E. O. Habhegger Co., Inc.
, Yeadon, Pennsylvania, has hired Bob Hyatt as an outside sales representative. Hyatt is a former district manager for OPW. Prior to that, he worked for Habhegger.
Bennett Pump Company, Spring Lake, Michigan, has added Mike Vegeais to its sales and marketing team. Vegeais has over 30 years experience in the petroleum equipment industry, spending 28 of them with Gilbarco Veeder-Root in a variety of management positions, and most recently with Freedom Electronics.
Vapor Systems Technologies, Inc. (VST), Springboro, Ohio, has appointed Lucas Ford Associates, Inc. to represent the company in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee and the Caribbean.
Alimentation Couche-Tard and The Pantry said December 18 that Couche-Tard will acquire The Pantry in an all-cash transaction valued at $36.75 per share, with a total enterprise value of approximately $1.7 billion including debt assumed. The transaction is expected to close in the first half of 2015. The terms of the transaction have been unanimously approved by the board of directors of both companies.

DEATHS
W. R. “Bill” Hodges, former treasurer and purchasing agent for RBM
Company, Knoxville, Tennessee, passed away December 9 at the age of 80. Bill worked at RBM from 1958 to 2001. He is survived by his wife, Ella Bea; daughters Shelia Luther and Juli Seal; five grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
