Dear PEI Member: New PEI Logo. We have used the same logo that you see on the upper right corner of this newsletter since NAOEJ became PEI in 1966. This board, and even the one before it, felt that it was time to refresh our image. After months of designing and tweaking, we finally arrived at a new logo that the board believes will be even stronger in the marketplace. That logo can be seen and downloaded at www.pei.org/toolbox. And yes, the one in the right corner will be replaced with the new one soon. The PEI Journal Comes In-House. The PEI Journal, PEI's magazine, will now be managed by PEI staff and not by a third party. The publication will be rebranded and contain more articles that we believe members will find important. The next issue of The PEI Journal will be published in July. Recommended Practice Covering the Storage and Dispensing of Diesel Exhaust Fluid. A new recommended practice on the storage and dispensing of diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) was approved. Since DEF is already being used in 2009-model diesel automobiles and the 2010 diesel trucks will require DEF, the PEI board has put this recommended practice on a fast track, with completion expected by the end of this year. See the related article. Advisory Consultant Group. PEI will offer the services of a group of experts who would be available for brief telephone consultations with members at no charge. The service, available to all members, will initially cover credit/collections, inventory management, technology, human resources and safety. The group will hopefully include both a Department of Transportation (DOT) and legal consultant in the near future. |
