Syngas [1]

Syngas is a mixture of carbon monoxide and hydrogen which is the product of high temperature gasification of organic material such as biomass [2]. Following clean-up to remove any impurities such as tars, synthesis gas can be used to synthesise organic molecules such as synthetic natural gas or liquid biofuels [3] such as synthetic diesel [4].
