Renewable Transport Fuels Obligation [1]

RTFO, or the Renewable Transport Fuels Obligation, is a British policy that places an obligation on fuel suppliers to ensure that a certain percentage of their aggregate sales is made up of biofuels [2]. The effect of this will be to require 5 percent of all UK fuel sold on UK forecourts [3]to come from a renewable source by 2010.
