Codes adopted by the National Fire Protection Association [2] that specifically cover operations connected with the storage, transfer, and dispensing of flammable and combustible liquids.

The provisions of these codes have been adopted as enforceable regulations by local fire-safety agencies in many American cities and are updated every three years.
