Flow Rate [1]

A term used to describe the speed at which a liquid moves through a refueling system.

In petroleum marketing operations, the flow rate is usually identified in terms of gpm–gallons per minute. A particular type of gasoline nozzle [2], for example, might be described as having a flow rate of 10 gpm.
