Fixed Roof Tank [1]

An aboveground tank [2] with a roof that is permanently affixed to the tank walls, and, except for the required vent openings, is vapor-tight. Another type of vertical aboveground tank is equipped with a roof that moves up and down, depending upon the amount of fuel present in the tank.
