Drive Off [1]

The term drive off carries a dual meaning in the petroleum marketing industry, with the first being a customer who drives away from a gasoline [2] station without paying for the motor fuel he has dispensed into his or her vehicle.

The term also means a fueling incident where a vehicle is driven away from a dispenser with the fueling nozzle spout [3] still in the vehicle fill pipe.
