Composite Tank [1]

A steel underground storage tank [2] to which a laminate of fiberglass reinforced plastic (FRP) has been applied to the exterior. This FRP coating provides a significant corrosion-resistant barrier between the tank [3] and surrounding soil and backfill [4].
