Building Code [1]

To ensure construction of buildings that are safe, local regulatory agencies adopt rules that specify the materials and construction techniques that must be used. These rules are referred to as building codes.

Fire safety codes, published by the National Fire Protection Association [2], provides model specifications for facilities where flammable and combustible liquids are stored and handled.
