Bellows Interlock [1]

A mechanism that does not allow a nozzle  [2]equipped with a bellows [3] to deliver fuel unless the bellows has been compressed.

The bellows interlock prevents the release of vapors by ensuring that the nozzle bellows seals tightly against the vehicle fill port before the fuel can flow through the nozzle.
