Ward, Rethmeier To Serve as 2009 PEI Officers [1]

Peter Ward, president of Glasgow Equipment Service, Inc., West Palm Beach, FL, has been elected by the members of the Petroleum Equipment Institute to serve as vice president of the organization. He has most recently served as PEI’s treasurer. Ward was elected during the Institute's 58th annual convention and trade show held in Chicago, Illinois, and will take office January 1. Dennis Rethmeier, president of Western Pump, Inc., San Diego, CA, was appointed PEI’s treasurer by the PEI Board of Directors.
Ward has been president of Glasgow Equipment Service since 1979. The company, formed in 1952 by Ward’s grandfather, Guy Glasgow, was acquired by his father, David Ward in 1974. Glasgow Equipment Service represents many PEI manufacturers in the service-station and commercial industries in the South Florida area.
Rethmeier has served as the president of Western Pump since 1988. Founded in 1948, Western Pump provides sales, service, installation, construction and compliance testing of fueling and lubrication systems in the western United States. Rethmeier has served on the PEI board of directors since 2006.
Founded in 1951, PEI is comprised of more than 1,500 companies engaged in the manufacturing and distribution of equipment used in petroleum marketing and related operations. Members are located in 50 states and 81 countries.
