Registration Open for Young Distribution Professionals Conference [1]

The Petroleum Equipment Institute announces that it will be sponsoring the 2008 Young Distribution Professionals Conference scheduled for Aug. 3-6 at the Eaglewood Resort and Spa in Itasca, IL. Registration is now open and all conference materials, including registration forms and brochures, can be downloaded atwww.pei.org [2] and clicking on the “Events” section.
The Young Distribution Professionals Conference is designed to assist the manager on the rise by providing knowledge in distribution and the opportunity to network with industry peers as well as professionals from other non-competing distribution industries. Attendees will take a look at several important aspects of distribution: Human Resources, Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Profitability. Speakers and workshops will present information on personal development tools for the young professional, leadership skills and career paths, and techniques to manage yourself and others. A key focus for the event will be offering leadership training and career development tools for future advancement that will help jump-start managerial careers.
The Young Distribution Professionals is a program designed specifically for young professionals, with less than 10 years of experience, interested in growing and expanding their distribution careers. Target attendees include: Sales Managers, Operational Managers, Marketing Managers, and Supplier Executives.
The Young Distribution Professionals Conference registration fee is $895 for members of PEI and $1,395 for non-members. Room rates at the Eaglewood Resort & Spa are $199 single occupancy and $278 double occupancy; plus a $12.95 per day resort fee. The resort fee includes Internet access, fitness center, pool, unlimited local and 800 calls, newspaper, and in-room coffee. Room rates include conference meals. Registration, along with payment, must be booked by June 6, 2008. The event is limited to 150 people, after June 6 registration will be on a space available basis.
