Registration Open for PEI's Young Executives Winter Conference [1]

The Petroleum Equipment Institute has scheduled its 2008 Young Executives Winter Conference for Feb. 7-9 at the Westin Resort & Spa in Cancun, Mexico. Registration for the event is available by visiting www.pei.org/ye.

The keynote presentation at this year’s Winter Conference will be given by business-growth consultant Steven S. Little. His presentation, “The 7 Irrefutable Rules of Business Growth: 21st Century Strategies for Building your Company,” will help attendees investigate what it takes to grow their businesses both effectively and profitably. During his talk, Little will identify the best practices of organizations that achieve sustained and profitable growth.

PEI’s Young Executives Program has been offered for 10 years and is open to full-time employees of a PEI member company who are between the ages of 21 and 45 (after age 45, members can be grandfathered into the program) and are currently serving, or expect to serve, in a management or executive position in the industry. The cost for membership in the Young Executives Program is $100 per year, which offsets the difference in member and non-member registration fees for events like the Winter Conference.

The Winter Conference registration fee for PEI Young Executives members is $425 and $525 for non-members. All attendees at the conference must be employees of a PEI member company. Room rates at the Westin Resort & Spa are all-inclusive and are $230 per person for double occupancy and $354 per person for single occupancy. Rates include deluxe lagoon-view room, all taxes and gratuities, breakfast buffet, lunch and dinner, and unlimited access to the National Bar from 11 a.m.-11 p.m. Rooms must be reserved with a valid credit card and rates are good three days before and after the conference dates. Registrations and all rooms must be booked no later than Jan. 7, 2008.

Among its activities in addition to the Winter Conference, each year the Young Executives Committee and its members meet during the annual PEI Convention in the fall for roundtable discussions and networking sessions. Members of the program also receive the YE.Spotlight, an electronic newsletter that focuses on timely topics in the industry.
