PEI Foundation Scholarship Recipients Announced [1]

The Petroleum Equipment Institute (PEI) has announced the recipients of the PEI Foundation’s Charles D. Kemp Scholarships for the 2015-2016 academic year. The awards recognize deserving students who are dependents of PEI member company employees.
The scholarships are named in honor and memory of Charles D. Kemp, longtime president of the White Tucker Company and president of PEI in 1972. Kemp was fully committed to the fuel and fluid handling equipment industry, a man of exemplary character, and devoted to the betterment of his community. The scholarship awards seek to encourage and support students who reflect Kemp’s values and character.
Scholarship recipients for the 2015-2016 academic year are: Kaitlyn Bracknell, daughter of John Bracknell, Crompco LLC, Plymouth Meeting, Pa.; William Fagerstrom, son of Bill Fagerstrom, Oscar W. Larson Co., Clarkston, Mich.; Amanda Goff, daughter of Steve Goff, Franklin Fueling Systems, Madison, Wis.; Tyler Hobson, son of David Hobson, Dale’s Service Inc., Boise, Idaho; Shayne Spiros, son of James Spiros, Neumayer Equipment, St. Louis, Mo.; and Parker Thomas, son of Greg Thomas, CE Thomas Company, Gardena, Calif.
Recipients are selected based on academic achievement, leadership, character, need and the applicant’s intent to contribute to the future of the fuel and fluid handling equipment industry.
The program is administered by the Board of Governors of the PEI Foundation and a Scholarship Selection Committee named by the Board of Governors.
