PEI Elects 2011 Officers [1]

Dennis Rethmeier, president of Western Pump, Inc., San Diego, California, has been elected by the members of the Petroleum Equipment Institute (PEI) to serve as president of the organization. He has most recently served as PEI’s vice president. Rethmeier was elected during the Institute's 60th annual convention and trade show in Atlanta Georgia, and will take office January 1, 2011.
Rethmeier has served as the president of Western Pump since 1988. Founded in 1948, Western Pump provides sales, service, installation, construction and compliance testing for fueling and lubrication systems in the western United States.
Rethmeier has served on the PEI board of directors since 2006, is a member of the PEI Strategic Long Range Planning Committee, Vapor Recovery Installation (RP300) Committee and the Continental 10-Group.
Joey Cheek, president of JMP Solutions, Inc., Tampa, Florida, has been elected to serve as vice president of the organization. Cheek most recently served as PEI’s treasurer.
Cheek has served as the president of JMP Solutions since 2003. Founded in 1963, JMP Solutions provides sales, service, installation, design, engineering, and fuel facility construction of C-Stores, service stations, car care centers, fuel depots and garage facilities. Cheek has served as chairman of the PEI Convention Committee, on the PEI Board of Directors and the PEI Executive Committee. He is currently a member of the Pioneer 10-Group and Installation of Underground Liquid Storage Systems (RP100) Committee.
Terry Cooper, president of Acterra Group, Inc., Marion, Iowa, was appointed treasurer by the association’s Board of Directors, effective immediately. Cooper has served as the president of Acterra Group since 1998. Founded in 1958, Acterra Group provides sales, installation and service of all equipment used in service stations, bulk plants, terminals, airports, industrial and convenience stores.
Cooper has served on the PEI Education, Convention, Manufacturing Relations, and Safety Committees in addition to serving two terms on the PEI Board of Directors. He is currently a member of the Aboveground Tank Overfill Prevention (RP600) Committee and chair of the Bulk Storage Plant Installation (RP800) Committee. He is a member of the Independence 10-Group.
