PEI Releases 2014 Safety Poster

The Petroleum Equipment Institute (PEI) has announced the release of its 2014 safety poster. The poster depicts a safety issue in the petroleum and fuel equipment handling industry and is entitled: “Take 5: Look before you Work.”

Produced as part of the PEI Safety Program, the poster was developed by the 2013 PEI Safety Committee and illustrated by artist Bill Patterson of Tulsa, Okla. PEI has printed 38 safety awareness posters since 1992 on industry-specific topics, such as barricading the workplace, lockout/tagout, confined space entry and excavation safety.

The PEI Safety Posters are free to members and can be downloaded, along with many other safety resources, at www.pei.org/safety

In addition to the annual posters, the PEI Safety Program authors Safety Dos and Don'ts, a series of fact sheets that address safety concerns within the petroleum and energy handling equipment industry, and also are available free of charge on the PEI website. The association also publishes two free monthly safety e-newsletters, SafetyLetter and SafePractices. For more information about PEI’s safety resources, see www.pei.org/safety.
