PEI Publishes 2013 Safety Posters

The Petroleum Equipment Institute (PEI) has announced that two new PEI safety awareness posters are now available for purchase depicting two safety issues in the petroleum and fuel equipment handling industry: personal protective equipment and situational awareness.

The posters, produced as part of the PEI Safety Program, were designed by the 2012 PEI Safety Committee and illustrated by artist Bill Patterson of Tulsa, Okla. PEI has printed 37 safety awareness posters since 1992 on industry-specific topics, such as barricading the workplace, lockout/tagout, confined space entry and excavation safety.

The single-copy price for PEI members is $2.00 each. For non-members, it is $3.00 each. The safety posters can be viewed and purchased by visiting www.pei.org/shopping.

The PEI Safety Committee is made up of industry safety experts from across North America and includes Carl E. Bayliss II, B C & C LLC; Robert Coker, Murphy Oil USA; Steve Fletcher, SME Solutions LLC; Joseph B. In addition to the annual posters, the PEI Safety Program authors Safety Dos and Don'ts, which are a series of fact sheets that address safety concerns within the petroleum and energy handling equipment industry and are available free of charge on the PEI website. The association also publishes two free monthly safety e-newsletters, SafetyLetter andSafePractices.
