The Petroleum Equipment Institute (PEI) has announced that its 2014 Purchasing and Inventory Managers Conference will be held June 12-14 at the Westin Indianapolis in Indianapolis, Ind. 
 
The two-day conference will feature three general session presentations by Jason Bader. Bader is managing partner of the highly respected Distribution Team, a consulting firm geared toward enhancing inventory management strategies and philosophies. Bader’s general sessions at the conference include Turning Buyers Into Investors; Finding the Balance: Inventory Turns and Customer Service; and Investing in Profitable Customers.
 
The conference also will include thought-provoking roundtable discussions covering important industry topics for purchasing and inventory managers. Roundtable topics include: best software packages; branches and inventory management; eliminating obsolete and excess inventory; stock inventory control with bar codes; inventory control on rolling stock; nuts and bolts of core and warranty management; and vendor/supplier relationships.
