Petroleum Equipment Institute (PEI) members elected PumpTex Inc. President Robert Peavey of Beaumont, Texas, to serve as vice president of the organization, effective Jan. 1. The association's board of directors also appointed as treasurer Oscar W. Larson Co. President Charlie Burns of Clarkston, Michigan, effective immediately.
“Robert and Charlie are outstanding leaders and dedicated supporters of the Petroleum Equipment Institute and will make exceptional officers,” said Robert Renkes, executive vice president of PEI. “We look forward to a productive year and believe both men will play key roles in keeping our association strong and healthy."
Peavey most recently served as PEI treasurer and was elected during the institute’s 66th annual convention and trade show in Atlanta. He founded PumpTex Inc., a retail petroleum equipment service company that services the Austin, Beaumont, Houston and San Antonio areas, in 1997. Peavey is a member of the Commonwealth 10-Group and is a past chair of the PEI Convention and Education Committee. He also served on the PEI Safety Committee.
Burns is a former member of PEI Young Executives and the PEI Convention and Education Committee. He also served as chair of the PEI Safety Committee. His company, the Oscar W. Larson Co., is a petroleum equipment sales, installation and service company with locations in Michigan, Ohio and Indiana.
