PEI Publishes Barricading Video

The Petroleum Equipment Institute (PEI) has announced the release of its first industry safety video. The video, based on the popular "Dos and Don'ts" series of safety tips, offers video examples of recommended procedures and then cites unsafe practices that should be avoided in the petroleum and fuel equipment handling industry. The video is entitled: “Properly Barricading the Job site.”

Produced as part of the PEI Safety Program, the video was developed by the 2015 PEI Safety Committee. The video was filmed in Kansas City, Missouri and produced by PEI staff member Rex Brown. PEI plans to publish two additional safety videos in late 2016.

The PEI Safety videos are free to members and can be viewed on the PEI Youtube channel, www.pei.org/youtube.

In addition to the videos, the PEI Safety Program annually publishes safety related workplace safety posters and Dos and Don’ts, a series of fact sheets that address safety concerns within the petroleum and energy handling equipment industry. The association also publishes two free monthly safety e-newsletters, SafetyLetter and SafePractices. For more information about PEI’s safety resources, see www.pei.org/safety.
