PEI Opens Registration for Service and Construction Managers Conference

The Petroleum Equipment Institute has scheduled its 2009 Service and Construction Managers Conference for March 19-21, 2009 at the Hyatt Regency St. Louis Riverfront in St. Louis, Mo.
 

The General Session at the conference will be delivered Friday, March 20 by business-growth expert Howard Hyden. His first presentation, “Customer Focus for Increased Profits,” will demonstrate the “power of looking” at the business through the eyes of the customer. During the session, attendees will learn how to help their organization increase competitive advantage by becoming more customer-focused. Hyden, the president of the Center for Customer Focus and nationally recognized for his insightful approach to business strategy, will also present a Saturday, March 21 session entitled “Employee Motivation in Tough Times.”

Hyden has spoken to some of the nation’s largest and most prestigious organizations and associations, including the International Development Research Council, Association of Professional Design Firms, Sales and Marketing Executives International, Rotary International and the National Association of Manufacturers. 

The conference will also include service roundtable discussions on Career Training; Service Technician Retention; Recruiting and Training Service Technicians; The Universal Service Vehicle; Field Processes; General Management; Safety Training; and Service Dispatching. Construction roundtable discussions will include Construction Project Management; Safety Training; Construction Employee Training; General Management; Trenching and Shoring; and Equipment Control and Accounting. A bonus session on Excavating Safety, presented by United Rentals trench safety experts, will also be available to registered attendees.

Conference registration fee is $295 for PEI members and $545 for nonmembers before February 18, 2009. Fees increase to $395 and $695 after that date. Registration deadline for the conference is March 2, 2009. Room rates at the Hyatt Regency St. Louis Riverfront are $159 per person night, per room.
