PEI Opens Registration for Service and Construction Managers Conference

The Petroleum Equipment Institute (PEI) has announced that its 2013 Service and Construction Managers Conference will be held April 4-6 at the Sheraton St. Louis City Center Hotel and Suites in St. Louis, Mo. 

The conference will feature Alan R. Zimmerman, Ph.D. Zimmerman will be presenting three general sessions during the conference: “Take This Job and Love It,” ”The Service Payoff” and “The Leadership Payoff.” Zimmerman has ranked among the top 5 percent of all speakers worldwide and was inducted into the Speakers Hall of Fame—an honor that has been given to a mere handful of people in the past 30 years, including President Ronald Reagan, General Colin Powell, and best-selling author Ken Blanchard, Ph.D. 

The conference also will include roundtable discussions on important industry topics for service and construction managers. General management roundtable topics include measuring quality; defining roles; recruiting and hiring; managing and controlling overtime; inventory control; and profitability. Service manager roundtable topics include mobile payment; field processes; COD strategy; service calls; remote service markets; employee travel; communication methods; and after-hours compensation. Construction manager roundtable discussions include safe excavations; safety checklists; use of sub-contractors; new product training; shoring; understanding codes; and pre-employment testing.

The early conference registration fee is $295 for PEI members and $545 for non-members through March 4, 2013. Fees increase to $395 and $695, respectively, after that date. Registration for the conference is available by visiting www.pei.org/sc2013 or by calling PEI at (918) 494-9696.
