TULSA, Oklahoma, May 3, 2021/Petroleum Equipment Institute/ -- Registration and housing opened Monday, May 3 for the 2021 PEI Convention at the NACS Show.
The fuel and fluid handling equipment industry’s largest annual event will be Oct. 5-8 at McCormick Place in Chicago. A preliminary schedule is available at pei.org/show/schedule.
“We look forward to meeting in Chicago this year,” said Sarah West, director of education and convention at PEI. “Of course, we continue to closely monitor recommendations from health officials and our partners in Chicago regarding pandemic recovery. Should any plans change, we will release the news immediately.”
Early Bird
Early bird full attendee registration is $295 for PEI and NACS members and $545 for nonmembers through June 11.
After that, the $150 registration discount will expire.
Registration includes admission to the Oct. 6-8 trade show, all education sessions, the PEI Membership Breakfast and the PEI Industry Reception.
Education Sessions, Networking
The 2021 PEI Convention at the NACS Show reflects innovation. Josh Linkner will deliver the Oct.6 Kickoff Breakfast & Keynote, “The 5 Mindsets of Innovation.” Tickets are $30.
Linkner, the founder of five tech companies, also is the author of four books, including The New York Times bestsellers “Disciplined Dreaming” and “The Road to Reinvention” and recently released “Big Little Breakthroughs.”
He is chair of Platypus Labs, an innovation research, training and consulting firm. Twice he was named the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year, and he is a recipient of the U.S. presidential Champion of Changes award.
“When you register for the PEI Convention, you can add the Kickoff Breakfast & Keynote,” West said. “This sells out almost every year, and social distancing measures will cut the number of people allowed in the room. We expect tickets will go fast.”
PEI’s education sessions will cover best business practices, electric vehicle charging, remaining relevant and the future of distribution, along with regulatory and economic updates.
PEI also is partnering with the Fuels Institute and NACS on two sessions: fuel equipment maintenance and the future of biofuels.
The Hyatt McCormick Place, the PEI headquarters hotel, will host the PEI 10-Groups Breakfast, Session and Breakouts; PEI Women; PEI Young Executives; and the PEI After-Hours Lounge.
