PEI Foundation Scholarship Recipients Announced

The Petroleum Equipment Institute (PEI) has announced the recipients of the PEI Foundation’s Charles D. Kemp Scholarships for the 2014-2015 academic year. The scholarships recognize deserving students who are dependents of PEI member company employees.
 
The scholarships are named in honor and memory of Charles D. Kemp, longtime president of the White Tucker Company and president of PEI in 1972. Kemp was fully committed to the petroleum and energy handling equipment industry, a man of exemplary character, and devoted to the betterment of his community. The scholarship awards seek to encourage and support students who reflect Kemp’s values and character.
 
Scholarship recipients for the 2014-2015 academic year are: Jason Luke Brantley, son of Timothy Brantley, Meco, Inc., Florence, S.C.; Darin Hubartt, son of Jay Hubartt, Innovative Fueling Solutions, Amarillo, Texas; Erik Lattner, son of Mike Lattner, Morrison Bros. Co., Dubuque, Iowa; Erik Negley, son of Scott Negley, Wayne-A GE Energy Business, Austin, Texas; and Trent Sandwisch, son of Todd Sandwisch, CompX Security Products, Mauldin, S.C.    
 
Scholarship recipients are selected based on academic achievement, leadership, character, need and the applicant’s intent to contribute to the future of the fuel and fluid handling equipment industry.
 
The program is administered by the Board of Governors of the PEI Foundation and a Scholarship Selection Committee named by the Board of Governors.
