TULSA, Oct. 23, 2019/Petroleum Equipment Institute/ -- Petroleum Equipment Institute (PEI) members elected William J. Mascott III president of the organization during its 69th annual convention and trade show in Atlanta.
Mascott most recently served as PEI vice president. His one-year term will begin Jan. 1, when he will replace current PEI President Charlie Burns, president of The Oscar W. Larson Co. in Clarkston, Michigan.
Mascott is president of Mascott Equipment Co. Inc. in Portland, Oregon. He is a member of the PEI Strategic Long Range Planning Committee and has served as PEI treasurer, District 9 co-director and on the PEI Insurance Committee. He is a member of the Pioneer PEI 10-Group.
“PEI members, the staff and I look forward to working more with Bill in 2020,” said Rick Long, executive vice president and general counsel of PEI. “Please join me in congratulating Bill on his presidency and Steve Dixon and Ron Sledd on their new positions.”
PEI members elected Stephen “Steve” E. Dixon, president and CEO of P.B. Hoidale Co. Inc., vice president of the association. His term will begin Jan. 1.
The association’s board of directors also appointed as treasurer Ron Sledd, co-president of Beneficial Systems, effective immediately.
Dixon, of Wichita, Kansas, most recently served as PEI treasurer. He is a three-time member of the association’s education and convention committee. He served on the PEI Executive Committee and board of directors, and he is a former PEI Young Executives member. P.B. Hoidale is a petroleum equipment distributor based in Wichita that began in 1946.
Sledd, of Jetersville, Virginia, served on the PEI Executive Committee and board of directors representing District 2. He served as chairman of the PEI Education & Convention Committee and is a member of the Commonwealth PEI 10-Group. Beneficial Systems is a petroleum equipment distributor based in Jetersville that began in 1986.
