In three years, the number of registered EVs in Kansas City grew from 800 to nearly 2,500. The electric utility spent $20 million installing about 1,200 public electric vehicle charging stations. (Chicago, for comparison, has about 300 public charging stations.) 

A survey of 1,600 C-level execs in 19 countries reveals only 20 percent consider their organizations highly prepared to handle new business or delivery models. Less than 15 percent are highly prepared for smart and autonomous technologies.
