13 Ways to Make Friday the 13th Luckiest Day of Your 2019

  1. Save $150. Register for the PEI Convention at the NACS Show by Sept. 20.
  2. Check out PEI Women. If you’re a woman registered to attend the PEI Convention at the NACS Show in Atlanta, you’re invited to the PEI Women session and reception. Denise Ryan will teach us “How to Communicate With Everyone Who Isn’t You.” It’s from 1:30 to 3 p.m. in the Savannah Ballroom at the Westin Peachtree Plaza. You don’t even have to RSVP.
  3. See why PEI Young Executives are the most forward-thinkers in the industry. YE members are ages 21-45, and if you’re older, who cares? When you're in Atlanta, come see why your co-workers back home should be involved. You’ll want to hear Dan Lier present “Creating Extraordinary Results in Challenging Times.” Plus, he’s 6’8”, and that’s just something you need to see to believe. Oh, and there’s a free bar.
  4. Make your Atlanta dinner plans. Lucky for you, we have a list. You can also ask Tom Leibrandt, PEI’s ad sales director. He’s a trained chef with a degree from The Culinary Institute of America. Trust him. He knows what’s good.
  5. Send your press releases to Kristen Wright. She’s going to publish press releases from PEI companies in the PEI Show Daily, which will go to all attendees of the PEI Convention at the NACS Show. Direct people to your booth, introduce attendees to your newest employees, show off your best products. Publishing your news is free. Send to kwright@pei.org. Subject: Convention press release.
  6. Plan to send a new PEI member or potential member to the PEI 1-on-1 session. PEI Membership Manager Teresa Farmer will share how to make the most of PEI membership. In other words, what’s in it for you. Meet from noon to 1 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 2 at Maple Point in the Georgia World Congress Center.
  7. Get the new service tech training document. We updated the original guide for entry-level service techs, and at PEI 1-on-1, you can learn about our new document for more seasoned techs. Meet from 3 to 4 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 2 at Maple Point in the Georgia World Congress Center.
  8. Overcome your fear of ladders. Because it’s Friday the 13th. We’ve got your back.
  9. Get excited about all the Spanish sessions and Latin America outreach PEI is doing.
  10. Get a 25% discount on all PEI resources when you buy them face-to-face at convention. We smell a heckuva deal.
  11. Look at the 2020 editorial calendar and tell us you want to write about one of the topics in the PEI Journal. It’s how people get famous.
  12. Find a PEI mentor … or become one.
  13. Do something nice for no reason. It’ll make you feel good. We’re glad you’re part of PEI.
