PEI has received several reports of bogus emails claiming to be from PEI and including attachments that require a login/password. 

 

These emails are spoofing the origin address and are not from PEI.  Below is a screenshot image of what we have received.

 

 

 

Simply put, this is a scam sent via email so take all the normal, reasonable precautions that your typical IT department would advise.  Do not click on links that seem unfamiliar to you and in this particular case, a link that did not have "pei.org" anywhere in the URL address bar.  Additionally, PEI will never email you a file attachment that requires a login and password.
